Our colleague Catalina Oana Curceanu protagonist of the 14th episode of the 2019 season of “Memex – Vita da Ricercatore” (Life as a Researcher).
It starts from the Amaldi High School of Tor Bella Monaca, with the LNF-INFN researcher teaching a class about the relationships between “strange” and “normal” physics; then onward with a visit to both the Frascati and Gran Sasso National Laboratories, where the scientist tells about the experiments she currently leads at the two seats of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics.
The scientific dissemination program, produced by Rai Scuola and presented by Davide Coero Borga, offers a glimpse of the daily routine of those who have chosen to devote themselves to research.
The funny subtitle – “The science world bestiary” – suggests the aim of this docu-series: sketching the various characters that everyday encounter and interact – kind of like particles on a microscopic level – in a research centre.
The episode – which was prime-time broadcasted on last 17th of September (Rai Scuola – channel 146) – will be aired again several times until December and it is also available on RaiPlay.
