The LNF announces the INSPYRE – INternational School on modern PhYsics and Research, a stage in English (16-20 February 2015, Auditorium Touschek) open to 65 high school students from 8 European countries (Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, France, Germany, Italiy, UK, Romania). To celebrate the International Year of Light 2015, the fifth edition of the School will be dedicated to light and its many applications in science and life. This year’s program will entail 5 days of lessons in English and laboratory activities about many of the most interesting topics of Modern Physics.
Students will get a chance to visit for free the structures and the main experiments at the LNF and examine in depth, with lessons and seminars, topics such as the Dark Matter, the Synchrotron Light, Physics applications in society, Quantum Mechanics. The School represents a great occasion for students coming from different European countries to face the challenges of Physics, in an international and intercultural learning environment.
