On the next 17th of May undergraduate students attending a scientific degree course are invited to participate in the event LNF & Undergraduate Students, a new initiative by INFN Frascati National Laboratories (LNF), aiming at orienting them on master thesis.
An entire afternoon in which LNF researchers will be showing the Laboratories’ scientific and technological program and the opportunities of carrying out research activities joining an experimental group, in order to acquire some valuable skills, both theoretical and practical, that are going to feed into the thesis.
LNF plays a leading role in the development of new accelerating machines, as well as in the building of particle detectors, including streamer tubes, the big drift chamber of the KLOE experiment, and the latest MPGD detectors (Micro Pattern Gas Detectors).
Furthermore, their participation to several international collaborations, at CERN in Geneva, in the United States, Japan, China and other INFN Laboratories makes Frascati National Laboratories an excellent reference point in the formation of students taking a path in the world of research.
